Neshlaup TKS 2023 will be held on Saturday 13th of May. The race will start at 11:00 at Seltjarnarnes Swimming Pool. Trimmklúbbur Seltjarnarnes (TKS), holds this annual event for the 34th time.
Distances
You can choose between three distances:
- 3.25 km fun run
- 7.5 km one circle around Seltjarnarnes
- 15 km two circles around Seltjarnarnes
Registration
Pre-registration takes place here on hlaup.is, see top of page. Registration ends on Friday 6th of May at 22:30. After pre-registration ends, the participation fee increases and participants are therefore encouraged to pre-register. On-site registration and delivery of running data takes place in the sports hall at Seltjarnarnes between 9 - 10:45 on race day.
Participation fee
- 2,000 kr. for adults (born 2006 and earlier)
- 2,500 kr. for adults after pre-registration ends
- Free for children born 2007 or later, based on primary school age
Running route
The start and finish are by Seltjarnarnes Swimming Pool in all distances. In the longer distances, the race along the walking / cycling path is around the headland. From Suðurströnd along Bakkagrandi, past a golf course in Suðurnes, with Kotagrandi to Snoppa, then Norðurströnd home to the end by a swimming pool. In the 3.25 km race, the race is along Suðurströnd and turns into Lindarbraut and Norðurstönd back until you turn towards the swimming pool again.

Both men's and women compete in each distance.
Other information
The race is a family-friendly event where everyone can find a suitable distance. There is a drinking station by the golf course in the longer running routes. Participation prize and refreshment after the race. Numerous exciting raffle prizes.
